Southern Cross Easy-claim

If you have Southern Cross health insurance with dental cover, we can claim for you on the day of your appointment, so there are no forms to fill in and no waiting for a refund.

Depending on your policy, Southern Cross either pays part of your treatment and you pay the difference, or it covers the full cost of eligible treatment up to your policy limit. For some members, that’s up to $750.

Not sure what you’re covered for? Give us a call before your appointment and we’ll help you check.

  1. Bring your member cardOr show the virtual card in the Southern Cross app.
  2. We claim on the dayWe send the claim to Southern Cross while you’re here.
  3. Pay only the differenceIf your policy covers it all, there may be nothing to pay.

Other options

Spreading the
cost, simply

  • In-house payment plans
For larger treatment, such as implants, aligners and braces, you can pay an initial amount and then the rest in equal, interest-free payments every four weeks until it’s paid off. We’ll set out the schedule in your written plan.
  • ACC
If your dental injury was caused by an accident, ACC may contribute to your treatment. Let us know when you book, and we’ll lodge the claim for you. More about ACC.
  • WINZ
If you’re receiving a benefit, Work and Income may help with the cost of urgent dental treatment. We’ll prepare a written quote for you to take to them.
  • Specials
We run occasional specials on selected treatments. You’ll find current ones on our specials page.
  • Q Card
Twelve months interest free, subject to approval. Q Card’s own terms and lending criteria apply.
  • Free care for teenagers
Basic dental care is free for teenagers from Year 9 until their 18th birthday. How it works.
  • Other health insurers
If you’re with another insurer, we’ll give you an itemised invoice so you can claim back what your policy covers.

Still wondering about something? Give us a call on 09 570 2823 or email reception@classicsdental.com, and we’ll get back to you.

Do you offer Gem or Zip?

We don’t currently offer Gem or Zip. Our own interest-free payment plan and Q Card cover most needs.

When do I pay?

Fees are due on the day of each appointment, unless we’ve agreed a payment plan with you.

Can I find out the cost before I commit?

Yes. After your assessment you’ll get a written plan with itemised costs, and nothing goes ahead until you’re happy with it.
