Helping children and teens smile with confidence.

Most children start braces between 10 and 14. We recommend a first check from around age 7, so we can spot anything early.

The right timing

An early check doesn’t mean early braces

It simply helps us catch problems while they’re easiest to treat.
  • Around age 7 We check jaw growth, crowding and bite as the adult teeth start to come through.
  • Teenagers Clear aligners can be a great option for teens who’ll wear them as advised.
  • Between 10 and 14 This is when most children start braces, once most adult teeth are in.
  • Keeping parents involved We’ll explain the plan to you and your child together, and answer all your questions.

Costs

You’ll get a written, itemised plan before anything goes ahead. Interest-free payment plans, Q Card, Southern Cross Easy-claim and WINZ quotes are available.
